A list of players in customs that have impressed with how horrible their performance was. The list is made retroactively, mostly using the replays I had sent friends when I had found people I considered spectacularly stupid. Just to be clear, we are not including the poor Joes who made a misplay or the braindead Ojama Greens who made a "Pot of Greed" meme deck. We are only going to look at the people I truly consider to be "special cases". We are also only going to look at people since my previous avatar change, aka less than 8-9 months ago. It's a fan deck, so it's no surprsise that it's sh!t, but other than that, here's a typical customs trope: Everything +es! Everything. Every. Thing. I mentioned this in the design article too, but for god's shake, count how many times you repeat non-archetypal effects.

(Just to be clear, Nyarlathotep's deck was also overpowered af, also copy-pasted from MTG, so minus that for our team). Lets start: Divine Attribute/Type: Check. 3300 ATK unaffected with omni-negate: Check. Effects largely copy-pasted from an existing archetype (Blackwings): Check. Also I'm 90% sure that's Angel Feather art from Vanguard, so I will go ahead and check that too. Not a bad guy, but a good example of design NOT to follow.

Here's more educational stuff: Nyarlathotep's problem (apart from the million +es he always makes for his archetypes) was mostly Links 1s that do way too much. As we've said, whatever effect you give your Link 1s you basically give to ALL your maindeck monsters, it might as well be a second common mechanic. For MeowEsTrap: It's a fan deck and it's garbage, shocker.

I had a bad impression of both of these guys for a while now, but this replay as posted by a fellow player was enough to make it to the list. GodEyes uses complete upgrades of existing cards, while {Stryker} has +1s or at the very least searches in nearly every card he plays. Both of these are equally horrible, take a look for yourself.
